Rain Taal @Narrows Botanical Gardens by Seema Lisa Pandya is a group of biomorphic sculptures that capture rainwater, delivering slow rhythmic drips onto resonant metal bowls before flowing into the garden bed. Drip rates are adjusted and composed to create rhythmic patterns, known as taal in South Asian music. Following rain events, the sculpture is an intentional destination celebrating water as it activates and drips musical rhythms for up to half a day after filling with water. The goal is to connect audiences with nature and bring awareness to water cycles while providing a therapeutic, percussive sonic experience that invites relaxation. The material is Richlite, made from FSC and post-consumer recycled paper and resin making it durable and environmentally friendly material. Dimensions variable.
