Tabla Syconoid Osculum Echoes – Wall art sculpture by Seema Lisa Pandya. From the fabric of the universe to the structure of our cells, matter’s complexity arises from vibration. Reality can be felt and seen as layered patterns of push and pull, negotiating balance between flow and resistance.  “Tabla Syconoid Osculum Echoes”  is part of a larger Tabla Sculpture Series which seeks to visualize this unseen rhythm of reality using musical instruments as sculpture. Inspired by biological cells, with nuclei or black hole cosmic centers, the sculpture is arranged and adorned with images of sponge like vibrational architecture. The sculpture is made from reclaimed tabla, bongo, and Persian daf drumheads from around the world and have been played and touched by musicians for hundreds of hours until no longer usable, leather strap, wood, India Ink, and acrylic paint. 42”w x 27”l x 7”d.
